1030 plus randomly shuts down and restarts

Welcome to Garmin, buggy AF !!!

Seriously, I started having these reboots almost every second trip. It's driving me crazy. There were no such problems before. Moreover, this is even without any additional sensors at all. I've already tried doing a full reset, but after a while, the reboots came back.
Isn't this a massive problem?

Been having this problem for about a year now also, come on Garmin - get this fixed!

I was having the same problem last summer on my 1030+ I noticed when I set a route to follow or the live track it would do it so I stop and I haven’t had the issue this year. 

Live track could be the issue. I have only been using it recently and this is when I have had problems. 

Have just done a full reset so will see how that goes. 

Might need to turn off live track.

I had the same issue, different bikes and sensors etc. Logged support call with Garmin who wanted access to the activities where the problem had occurred. They swapped out the unit without any explanation why despite me asking. New unit has already rebooted during 2 or three rides! 

I am experiencing the random reboots since 2 months, too, with my 1030Plus. After reboot finishes  and pressing Start, the recording continues, and main ride params seem to be ok after the ride. But training load data is lost (until moment of reboot). Are you seeing something similar?

The issue makes the device useless for me for training planning.

The occurrences on my device have in common:

• LiveTrack and crash reporting enabled
• Riding hilly or mountain routes 
• Stages powermeter, Garmin varia, Garmin HR sensor connected.
• All occurred during the last 2 months (which may be related to point 2. Normally I ride flat routes.) 

I am living in Germany. The reboot happened in Germayny once, and twice when riding in France.
After first incident, I uninstalled all IQ apps/fields. Reboot still happened.
