I had a crash on June 7, the day before the 1040 announcement. I had my 1030 Plus tethered, so it didn't go far, but the out front mount broke, and the case of the 1030 Plus was cracked open near where the tether connects. (The unit is still working, but obviously, the case wouldn't be weather proof any more.)
Garmin Support arranged for me to get a replacement unit on an exchange basis.
Do I just need to sync my current unit to Garmin Express, and use that to set up the replacement, or should I try to do a "full backup" to my computer hard drive?
