Refuses to connect to iPhone after a day or two

I pair my Edge 1030 Plus to my iPhone 11 Pro and it works perfectly. 

A day or two later and the Edge can no longer see the iPhone. It just says "Searching". This is on the BT connection, BLE connects every time.

If I delete the phone pairing and do the whole process again, it works fine. But after a day or two it fails again.

Rebooting the iPhone and/or the Edge makes no difference. Nor does turning on/off bluetooth. In order to get it to work again I seem to have to delete and repair.

Any thoughts? It's extremely frustrating.
