Garmin Edge 1030 Plus not syncing Strava Segments

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Garmin Edge 1030 Plus which for the most part works great, however no matter what I try I cannot get Strava Segments to sync with my Garmin. I have followed the instructions on Garmin's website on how to sync this and I know the sync works as when I complete a ride on my Garmin this is automatically synced with Strava but the Segments just will not pull down at all. I have checked the basics and can confirm Garmin Connect is set to use Strava Segments and not Garmin Segments and I have starred the Segments within Strava but they will not sync no matter what I try. I have so far tried to reset the Garmin device to factory settings, broken the synchronisation between Garmin and Strava and re-established this, removed both the Garmin and Strava apps from my phone and re-installed these but nothing makes the Segments sync!

Has anybody else had this issue, is there something I'm missing somewhere!? I know firmware 6.40 has only just been released and I never got chance to test this with the firmware that came with my device but I'm wondering if this is maybe a firmware issue at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I can confirm this does indeed fix the problem! Smiley To be honest I'm not too bothered it's a manual process, it's simple enough to do so thank you for your help there, it's much appreciated and will give me that extra push when out on future rides! Slight smile

    Hey, glad to hear it!! Yeah it’s simple enough to do, it's just if you find a new segment, you need to then manually add it on every time. Also found sometimes when syncing the Garmin with Garmin express it deletes them and you have to manually add it again.
