12-speed Di2 gear combo field doesn't work on version 6.30

I've seen that issue and it is due to the set-up not having been completed in the e-tube project app for the 12-speed system.

After selecting the front and rear gear sizes in the app you need to swipe the page so that the dialogue changes to update and then select apply. If you don't do this the change shows in the app, but is not written to the Di2 system.

I think Shimano posted a video somewhere. If I get some time I might look for it.

Ahh.  That makes sense.  I didn't think of the gearing selection, doh!  I have texted my friend and asked him to call me when he's ready to set his up.

It is not intuitive. I've helped 3 or 4 people now that had set gear sizes in the app, but did not get the UI in a state where it was applied.

Can you just set the gear sizes within the Garmin under sensor options?  That's what I did with my 11-speed Di2.

Yes you can, but you need to switch the automatic gear selection off for front and rear gears under the sensor details. Automatic is the default setting, which tells the Edge to use whatever the Di2 system is passing over.

Yes.  I just got an Ultegra 12-speed and trying to set it up.  It only lets you choose 11-speed.

Are you talking about the Edge? If the Edge is set to get automatic gearing info then then that comes from the Di2 system.

If you select manual then the gear preset that you see are based on how many gears the Di2 system says it has.

What software version do you have on the Edge?
