New Edge 1030 Plus Public Beta 6.26 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1030 Plus has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

Notes:

  • For any issues that you encounter please fill out the form included in the download and attach it to an email to [email protected]. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.
  • Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

Changes made from version 6.24 to 6.26:

  • Fixed software crashes caused by encrypted CIQ programs that are no longer valid.
  • Fixed a couple of device stability issues.

Changes made from version 6.22 to 6.24:

  • Fixed automatic maximum heart rate detection.
  • Added the ability to perform the FTP test with power data coming from a trainer.

Changes made from version 6.10 to 6.22:

  • Changed gear battery data field to display percentage remaining if available, which affects Shimano Di2 single-battery systems.
  • Updated sensor low battery prompts to differentiate between low and critical status.
  • Fixed issue where distance could stop accumulating.
  • Fixed issue where text message sender names would display incorrectly.

    probably they are waiting for the slope display delay fix, for the gradient issue........

    1. For menus in IQ widgets, the back button/arrow doesn't show up. Instead, there's an X, which doesn't work properly. This is actually an old (I reported it almost 2 years ago!) problem and exists in other units. It's a ridiculous/awful problem and needs to be fixed. It used to work. 
    2. The menus in IQ scroll to the bottom (so the current item is off the screen). This used to work properly but it’s been broken for a while. 
    3. For FIT files with course points downloaded (synced) directly to \Garmin\Courses, the course point page doesn't show up UNLESS you turn the device off and on again. This is also an old problem.

    Since installing this I've been getting FTP/VO2 max updates which are LOWER than the previous (higher value) set only recently. I can see in Training Status that my FTP is shown at a lower value than it was last week. Att the end of a ride where update figures are given, there is a red down arrow too. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also when I look at the power trend from the ride, I can see NO periods of power at (or close to ) FTP that would give a change to FTP. Performance Notifications are turned on for New VO2 Max in the Edge. Also, it can be seen that in the Power Curve section of Training Status that a previously higher value for FTP has been calculated. To show an UPDATE to lower values of VO2 and FTP just doesn't make sense (to me) .

    if I am riding indoor my VO2max is incessing, but then i can have 51 then after 2 days 49 , to be honest I dont think that Vo2 is that volatile 

    Also my feeling is that true up does not work propertly 

    Plase check if you have training above vo2max, if activity has zone 7 because I think that is an bug that can affect vo2max calculation

    I'll keep an eye out for the % time in zone 6/7 when this happens. Certainly, the ride with the last reduced update had 5% in Z6 and 3% in Zone 7.

    I updated yesterday and the battery charge indicator isfrozen at 100 %. Donot install . How can I go back to 6.20?

    And 4 months from last normal stable release 

    Most probably they are focusing on something else 

    Because I see same with Fenix devices

    Yes all the X30 betas have stalled for 2 months, can't be that hard to make a production release, in the past they have just released the last beta again.

    Otherwise X40s maybe? Anyone ride with DC Rainmaker and notice what he has on his handlebar recently?
