Notes:

  • For any issues that you encounter please fill out the form included in the download and attach it to an email to [email protected]. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.
  • Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

Changes made from version 6.24 to 6.26:

  • Fixed software crashes caused by encrypted CIQ programs that are no longer valid.
  • Fixed a couple of device stability issues.

Changes made from version 6.22 to 6.24:

  • Fixed automatic maximum heart rate detection.
  • Added the ability to perform the FTP test with power data coming from a trainer.

Changes made from version 6.10 to 6.22:

  • Changed gear battery data field to display percentage remaining if available, which affects Shimano Di2 single-battery systems.
  • Updated sensor low battery prompts to differentiate between low and critical status.
  • Fixed issue where distance could stop accumulating.
  • Fixed issue where text message sender names would display incorrectly.
  • When I updated the 1030+ to FW6.26, it 'hang' for more than a minute (maybe up to 2 minutes) at 98% validating the update file and I started wondering if something went wrong. Luckily I waited and (maybe) after 2 minutes the installation continued and completed successfully.

  • Don't know if it's related to the update, but the physio true up did not work as expected after my indoor workout. Edge 1030 plus training status recovery and recovery time 20 hour. Fenix 6 pro training status maintaining and recovery time 0. Synced the edge after update to ver 6.26 and two times after the workout. Ride was recorded on the Edge with the fenix sitting on my forearm withouth starting any activity, only for collecting the intensy minutes. Checked the settings before the workout and after, physio true up is on, weight, power and heart rate zones was unchanged so nothing there.

  • Twice, since I installed 6.26, my 1030+ has frozen and then rebooted during an activity. Not a problem I'd encountered before, so it seems to be new with this version. I submitted a report with the relevant files to [email protected], but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the same problem. The two times it's happened have been while I've had Livetrack running as well as an activity recording. The other two rides I didn't have Livetrack going, and didn't have the problem.

  • Unfortunately I still see power reading dropouts using Edge 1030+ with Wahoo KICKR Core as smart trainer.

  • Since updating the firmware, where previously I had the issue where automatic maximum heart rate detection gave lower values as new maximums, I now have the problem with FTP being updated as a new high value when in fact it is lower than the one from (say) last week. I have sent the Garmin Folder to the above email address by Dropbox.

Also on reboot after update, my Edge 1030+ told me that my Varia Vision needed an update, but none is available. I wish there was because it doesn't support some of the newer Edge screens which cause all data to go blank - Garmin segments and hills etc :-( .

  • The ANT+ sensors connections on my Edge 1030 Plus do seem to be susceptible to radio frequency interference, particularly from mobile phones. (I don't have any Bluetooth sensors so I don't if that is affected too.)

I also seem to get more sensor dropouts if I am using my Bluetooth headphones with my mobile instead of just using the mobiles speakers.

  • Getting a lot of radar RTL510 disconnects with 6.26 beta

  • I have NOT installed 6.26 yet (now running 6.10), and I came here namely with the same problem as you said - "my 1030+ has frozen and then rebooted during an activity".  I had this issue twice over the recent 10 days, each time cycling indoors with Smart Trainer (Elite Suito) and HRM-Pro both connected via ANT+. LiveTrack was on. Now I'll try to switch off LT first, before trying this update.

  • how long did it usually take for a beta to go to full release? 22 days is not enough?

  • probably they are waiting for the slope display delay fix, for the gradient issue........
