Garmin 1030 Plus not passing data to Connect IO Datafields

Using Garmin 6.10 on a 1030 Plus. Successfully loaded WPrimebal, PowerGuage and Xert my FTP.   Normal datafields show all inbuilt datafields for Power eg 3s while using an Elite Smart sim. None of the Connect IO datafields are showing realtime data, just their start up displays.  I have done the usually - reset the Garmin, reloaded the datafields but that did not work. Any ideas?

  • If your 1030 Plus is up to date, and reloading the CIQ datafields did not solve the issue, you will need to reach out to the developer directly to see if they have other reports of this issue.

  • tried but no answer. Applications loaded were WPrime, Xert TTE and Dr Skiba WBal. Applications from three different developers so they look to have a common issue. Hard rest the 1030 again and still not allowing data to be passed to these applications but displaying Power reading perfectly fine.

  • I'm personally familiar only with Xert TTE.

You haven't said if you have setup any of the datafields using GCM. Xert TTE requires you to set up the datafield as explained in the details found in the information for the datafield in Connect IQ. It needs an Xert account username and password, and some power and time values. I can confirm it works exactly as designed.

I have no knowledge of the other 2 datafields, but they appear to be designed for a similar metric. My reading for each on Connect IQ suggests they too need some setup, with the relevant power numbers entered and saved via GCM for each datafield. Neither of the others appears to require any kind of account.

Details on how to adjust datafield settings found here

     I hope this helps

  • Most grateful for the quick reply. All three require personalised parameters once loaded. I had done this too.  What seems to have worked last night was a third reset of the Garmin, a reload of two of the three apps and loading another generic power app. Too many changes I know to home in on the true cause of the problem but nevertheless I have working data fields and I am back to training with TTE HIIT training. Thanks for the replies once again.
