Edge 1030 plus & Specialized dual power meter

Hello, does anyone have pair the edge 1030 plus with specialized dual power meter? Does it work fine? I am asking because i had major connection -dropouts- issues with 1030.

Thanks

  • Yes, it seems to me that it's a Garmin problem. On the other hand, I did an indoor ride on rollers and paired both with a 1030 plus and FR745 (ant+) & Trainerroad on iPad (BLE). Both ant+ signals had many dropouts or disconnections and none with BLE on the iPad. I used Specialized PM. Today, I swapped my Specialized Power Cranks to a Quarq that I had on my trainer bike. No problems at all with Quarq and 1030 plus. Seems the way to go!

  • Returning for an update.. I decide to give it a shot and buy the 1030 plus BUT as i was expecting i took the wrong decision. I am having disconnections from sec to couple of minutes 2-3 times. That was something i was afraid would happen after the experience already had with 1030 and this confirms the rule that says, If you want something that simple works then the word is Wahoo.... 1030+ going for sale

  • I assume that problem is with some kind of garmin software (?). I fought with s-works power meter and garmin 530. Emailed to support many times. I sent many FIT files to them. They didn’t solve sensors drop outs problems. I switched to wahoo roam. I have no even one drop out since changed head computer. Lots of threads on the 530’s forum about that problem.

  • I have elemnt roam and 2 bolts.. No issues, zero disconnections. I used to have 1030 but the disconnections was very usual even with garmin varia. I was skeptical in the beginning with the 1030 plus but i decide to try it. Wrong decision. Same problems

  • this is a clear confirmation of my observations regarding the problems with garmin, not the power meter or other sensors like varia radar or di2

  • This is so puzzling to me.   WHen i 1st got my S-works SL6 the dual power meter worked fine.   NO drop outs, etc.

I had the battery contact on the left arm break and it was replaced under warranty.

Now it doesn't read the other power meter together.   It just reads one arm or the other.

ANy suggestions?  I downloaded the app and it shows dual.    4iii app.   thanks
