gradient lag 1030plus

My new 1030plus is reporting the gradient changes with an annoying delay (more than 4 seconds). When it says i'm ascending i'm already up and when it finally says i'm descending i'm already a few hundred meters on zero gradient.

My 820 did not have this issue... Will this be fixed?!

It should not be on the barometer sensor's side. It is described as extremely qualitative:

(The „normal“ 1030 has its predecessor 280 built in.)

Yup, pay 600 eur and take a good look at the nature, because it doesnt matter.

Because on devices that cost a fraction of the price...this function works properly.

I have noticed this as well. It’s almost instant on my Forerunner 945 and my older Edge 1030.

I think this was an issue with earlier 1030, slow gradient and % was stuck to max 12 % , even the climb was higher

Yup but ussually its an software glitch , i thing that gradient is calculated somehow with barometric and gps sensor

I have the latest V3.0 software and 4.5 GPS, but still, find exactly the same problem. The gradient is several seconds behind reality, perhaps as much as 10 seconds. Very frustrating for such an expensive device.

Same for me. This problem was not there on the 1030...

Same here, very frustrating and I'm almost tempted to go back to my Edge 1000.... Contacted Garmin support but no response so far.

If you use the 1030 + with a indoor trainer on a coarse it shows up really bad it’s like the map and the gradient are out of sync
