I have been really happy with the Edge 1030+ so far.
I got my first set of issues today during a suggested daily workout session on my Wattbike Atom in Trainer mode. I got quite 3-4 power dropouts, as per the below. Anyone else?

I do also have dropouts with my KICKR Core and 1030 Plus. This was also reported to the Garmin Beta Team and they gave me feedback that it seems that KICKR Core is connected as power sensor and indoor…
I've struggled too long with this issue. Garmin Support told me to get rid of all distortion signals, so disable WiFi, Bluetooth, disable phone connection, watch connection. That's a lot to do every day…
Same problem with „normal“ Edge 1030 and Tacx NEO and Wahoo Kickr.
Look here (sorry, it‘s German...)

Ah, good to know. I speak German so that won't be an issue:)
I see the same power dropouts with the combination Edge 1000 and Saris H3 (Edge is controlling the trainer). The dropouts are not completely random, they occur every ~3min25sec. I saw the same regular pattern in your activity. So it seems to be a general Edge series problem.
In parallel I use my Fenix 6 to record my trainer activities; it connects the Saris as power meter. There I do not see any dropout. This also clearly hints to the Edge as problem.
Same here with a 1030 Plus and a Wahoo Kickr Core. Lot of drop outs. with ANT+ Connection
I reported the issue to Garmin over 8 months ago, which was discussed in this post. It seemed to be made worse if you have an edge remote paired even if it is not being used or connected. I provided them with shed loads of information & test data & absolutely zip in response ... I don't have much hope of a resolution
I've the same issue. I am using Edge 1030, Wahoo Kickr Core with Garmin cadence sensor and Garmin Tri HRM (the old blue one). Everything is connected via ANT+ and the Kickr Core itself connects to my laptop via ANT+ too (i.e., no bluetooth). The Edge drops (only) power readings from the Kickr. I've a Fenix 5 that's connected to everything via ANT+ too and I see no dropouts there (power or other readings).
This is incredibly annoying as it means Edge computes metrics from power data with drops (so FTP estimate etc. are all wrong). I'm going to try connecting Kickr Core to Edge via Bluetooth next time to see if I see the same dropouts...
Connecting the Kickr Core to Edge 1030 via Bluetooth did not help - I still got dropouts...
I've solved the dropout issue. I realised that my Kickr Core was added to Edge 1030 both as a power sensor AND indoor trainer. I unliked the Kickr as indoor trainer and had it only as a power sensor (via ANT+ though not sure if this makes a difference) -> no dropouts! Hope that helps you all!
This solved the problem for me. Thanks!
I first had the Kickr set up as a power meter, but Edge 1030 kept bugging me to add it as a trainer, so I did.
Removing the Kicker as a trainer and using it solely as a bluetooth power meter eliminated the power dropout problem. Perhaps coincidentally, Garmin upped my VO2 max by one on the first ride.
