Favorite Courses Not Syncing

My new Edge 1030 plus wont sync the starred (favourite) courses that i highlight in Garmin Connect. My old Edge 1030 did this automatically. I can copy courses across but I have over 200 and dont want to do this every time. Also the Kamoot and Strava course sync doesn't work either. Is this a bug ?

    I un-starred my Strava routes, done a sync with Garmin. Re-Starred and done another sync and my courses then appeared on my unit.

    Thanks spiderbundy!  I tried that multiple times and something "broke" in the connection to my Garmin 520.  I had the older Strrava Routes on my unit and deleted it--maybe that caused it?  Anyway, I just thought to check my Fenix 5 and it has all the newer and older starred Strava courses on it.  So it's mostly working for me but there is a definitely a glitch for some folks.

    QUICK UPDATE:  It looks like I have Garmin Connect on my phone to thank for the Strava course updates to my Fenix 5. 

    I just created a running route for my wife around the neighborhood in Strava to show her how far she goes.  I didn't think about "unstarring" so it saved as a Favorite in Strava, synced to my Garmin account (in the cloud), and then Garmin Connect (on my phone) pushed it to my watch.  Pretty cool. 

    I could probably stop using Garmin Express on the PC altogether, except for my old Garmin 500...

    Yeh, works fine with my Fenix 6 but doesn’t work at all for the 1030 plus. Come on Garmin, pull your finger out

    Works for me...Starred Strava Routes and Pinned RWGPS routes all synced to my new 1030+.

    Even easier than that, I’ve found if you go to the courses on Garmin Connect mobile you can click on Send to Device and that works. Just won’t do it automatically for old courses. I had 40 old courses, just did this manually, took 10 mins but worked fine. Has to be done on connect mobile though, doesn’t work on connect website

    Great point, Former Member!  What I find interesting is the starred routes from Strava are indeed pushing to Garmin Connect, so the break-down seems to be happening on the Garmin side.

    All your old Starred Routes on Strava have to un-starred and then re-starred  to enable the push to GC and then on to your device. Any existing Routes or Courses on GC do not automatically sync to your new device.

    Thanks, but that's not the whole story.  I had this working and then it broke.  It's still working on my Fenix 5 but not my Garmin 520 and I'm not the only one.

    Starred routes stopped syncing even if unstarred and restarred.  One workaround seems to be to create duplicates or new routes.
