Speed Sensor 2 - Software v4.0

Garmin, what is the reason for software version 4.0 for being pulled, is there another version being released soon?

I apologize for the confusion I created here. Version 4.00 is now fully available via Garmin Connect Mobile or a compatible Garmin Device.

I don’t even want to update it. I just want it to stop asking me every single time I turn on the Garmin.

I just took my sensor off the bike and made sure it was close to the head unit and phone and was the only sensor attached to the head unit. I also took it all away from the bike where none of the other…

They are weirdly silent on this. My Garmin is wanting me to update to 4.0 every single time I pair the sensor, but it can't download it anymore so it eventually fails. This is some bush league software…

I've been trying to do this update for 2 weeks and it keeps failing. I've even taken the sensors off my bike and put them on top of / underneath my Fenix 6 watch and it fails every time. I don't think it's ever got further than 31% but it usually falls over at 4%, 8% or 25%. The light on the sensor stops flashing

Thanks for the tips. I’d been trying to update speed sensor from a Fenix. Managed to get update thru following your advice - by turning Bluetooth off on the phone, and keeping the wheel spinning while the update completed from the Fenix. You’d think Garmin would program the sensor to not go to sleep if it was in active comms. Anyway will now see what V4.0 has in store.
