  • RE: Where can I buy charging port protectors for the Descent G1?

    trux

I do use a charging port protector (on Instinct and on Instinct 2), and think it is really useful.

    1. First of all, the sweat that normally cumulates in the port, is quite aggressive, and the contacts tend to corrode over time. I have much less problems…

No they don’t. Most of the problems have come down to improper care rather than any alleged allergic reaction. Once people realise they have to allow the skin under the sensor time to breath and keep the watch clean the problems go away. While there are…

I've had this one for almost three years without any issues. I have a very bad reaction to most metals, pretty much anything except gold, silver, and titanium. The band is a steel band, but the anodized coating keeps my skin from reacting to it, and so…

I just got this watch for Christmas,  it is not an allergic reaction to the watch band as I have no issues there, it is just under the watch sensor.  I can feel it burn, I can pull the watch off my skin and see the green and red lights on, when they are…

    YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER

This will work on my ankle.

That's funny because I have a dermal reaction to the silicone band, which leaves ugly red welts on my skin,

I thought a while ago wish I could add to my ankle, no one would see it then.

    Bonus is when…

It could be a fungus infection. I would clean the watch and strap and then put it on the other arm until the reaction disappears and see what happens to the other arm.

Don't shower with the watch. You will always need to take it off afterwards to dry…

Light does not "go" into the blood, and as I said light outside is anyway much brighter than the sensor led, and your skin is exposed to it all the time, so you would be in real trouble if that somehow happened. Also, you wrote "if i disable…

The light sensor is also raised and in the center of the watch, and therefore the closest to your skin. Most likely explanation is a skin irritation from it not being able to breath.

Give the watch (and your wrist) a thorough wash, then perhaps consider…

Hi, I have the same issue and have only had the watch for a few months. I have had several Garmin watches in the past.

This is what I have found out. It is a chemical type burn on your wrist. It is from the battery charge point having an adverse affect…

100 to 1? You really think so since you were the first to comment since September 5th on a thread that had 4 people discussing this topic? I understand some people have an allergic reaction to silicone bands, but in most cases it's the strap rubbing from…
