I had a skin irritation with an Ancool band. Switched back to the original Garmin band it's OK so far. I've used over a dozen silicone smartwatch bands and that was the first time I've had an issue.

The back of the sensor area irritates my skin, I clean it, stopped wearing it for 8 weeks until it healed and have used clear varnish to seal it. Soon as I put it in it starts again. Everything I have read is about the strap and not the watch itself.
