There are a lot of threads out there on this. Just look up "skin irritation." Also, Garmin will want you to report this via the Garmin Support site.

Barometer issues perchance???
Are you sure it's a burn mark? Not a skin irritation from sweat, dirt, etc? Sensor light should not be strong enough or heat enough to make a burn mark.
I am sorry I locked your old thread. When there is a concrete answer, I lock that thread due to automated spam bots we are wrestling with and having to delete those replies. I am happy to hear your skin irritation issue was resolved.
For any other Garmin…
I bought a clone from Amazon by Yooside, works a charm for me. As it's a double velcro design it can have quite a lot of leeway in size. Definitely less skin irritation
Totally normal, skin irritation I take it, no way the LEDs can burn you. However I get hem all the time, swap between my wrist and ankles - kidding no its not normal. Hopefully Philipshambrook's post will help.
Hey,
Due to some skin irritations (no garmin problem, to hot, to much sweat) I have to put the watch from left to right. Are there no options left to change that? I can't find it anywhere?
