    A real map is/was already on the wishlist.
    But Garmin don't own the maps it uses and due to some legal issues they can't export the (Google or Bing) map to video.
    They are investigating the use of Open Street Maps.

    just an update went onto garmin facebook to ask for advise. they advised me to uninstall and then install basecamp. DON'T do it as it still makes no difference and now I have lost all my folders and routes really pissed off
