    Hi here :)

This is my first post Garmin ever, so please bare with me if it's posted on wrong forum topic!

I have a long story of short-distance runs, some walking, short-distance bike and a lot of weight training, along with some springboard diving…

I am not content with F6X because I was buying it specifically for being a watch to track trail and ultra running.

It got the "ultra" component alright and it has map which makes it great for navigation, but honestly, as a running watch, it is quite mediocre…

I have to assume this is the first time you've used a Garmin if that's a serious complaint

No watch is going to get it right because it's half-guessing from a lot of variables.

Within two minutes is actually pretty great compared to previous…

After some seconds I realised that there are some 100 meters left to the real finish line. In the end, the watch recorded 42,66 km.

I bet the distance you had actually run was even longer than that. If anything, Fenix tends to measure distance…

Update after a long ride (74 miles in the western 'burbs of Chicago) ...
    • No problems with the 510 connecting to my 1030.
    • Short distance sensitivity is WAY up ... it routinely picked up solo cyclists behind me.
    • This may be an anomaly, because of the…

The race predictor uses your VO2max. If that is inaccurate, then the race predictor will fail.
A good thing to know and understand is that calculated performance metrics and their relation to real performance is a very individual matter. It might work…

I have a Galaxy S7 and zero connection issues. If I wanted to gripe, I would say something about the relatively short distance (for example, my car connects to the phone form across the street, the watch usually loses connection if there is a brick wall…

I started having problems after the last 2 updates and would like to be able to roll back to what the firmware was when I first got the watch. It tells time ok though. However, the heartrate, stress, and sleep values seem to have shifted noticeably. It…

  • GPS Drops during walk activity - data field reverts to watch face

During a walk today, I noticed my watch was displaying the watch face instead of the activity data field. I pressed the start/stop button and it went back to the activity data field, but the distance was way too short. I checked the file afterwards and…

In this mode, the distance is modelled by correlating arm swing rates to pace as observed when you are running outdoors.

This can work fairly well for steady state runs when you don't use the arm with the watch on to take a drink or use a towel etc.…
