In theory yes, but the accuracy won't be great. https://www.gps.gov/systems/gps/performance/accuracy/ The error as a % of a short distance would be high. It improves slightly if you stop at each end to let the GPS saturate.

May be Garmin can release the new GPS 2.70 for the beta version also?
I am curious if it does include a fix for the little to short gps-distance problem on the Fenix 6 also.

Can the Forerunner 235 display the distance in km instead of mi? I did not think this should have been the problem. What model of Forerunner can display the units in km and m? Can the 235 be used for short distances like 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m…
Any update when new software with all the data/gps issues will be ready ?!?! The fact we are going on almost 4 months is ridiculous!!!
20.16 and 20.22 have horrible data/gps data. Shorting distance by .10-.25 each walk or run !
My problem is exactly the same. Same firmware, same terrible Open water tracking. Few points and short distance. Makes no Sense paying expensive in a Triathlon watch with such problems. Almost selling mine and buying Polar Vantage V2. Far better Open…
Simple, start an activity I do not understand why should it pose a problem for even a short distance. If you do not wish to keep the activity in your records, simply do not save it at the end, and discard it instead.
