  • RE: Using OWS setting in outdoor pool?

In theory yes, but the accuracy won't be great. https://www.gps.gov/systems/gps/performance/accuracy/ The error as a % of a short distance would be high.  It improves slightly if you stop at each end to let the GPS saturate.

Thank you very much for that solution. Several times over the last 10 years in MapSource and BaseCamp I've wanted to route over a short distance where there was no road for the route tool to follow - sometimes 10m or less.

Temperature in deg C and wind speed in mph is ideal for us in the UK - which assume you are given example is Brighton.

Snag is that I set my distance and speed to miles although think metric for short distances - say for intervals on the track.

    Not sure…

May be Garmin can release the new GPS 2.70 for the beta version also?

I am curious if it does include a fix for the little to short gps-distance problem on the Fenix 6 also.

Can the Forerunner 235 display the distance in km instead of mi?  I did not think this should have been the problem.  What model of Forerunner can display the units in km and m?  Can the 235 be used for short distances like 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m…

  • Software update from 20.22 ? When will it be ready?!

Any update when new software with all the data/gps issues will be ready ?!?! The fact we are going on almost 4 months is ridiculous!!!

20.16 and 20.22 have horrible data/gps data. Shorting distance by .10-.25 each walk or run !

Roughly how short? Which you believe is closer to the correct distance? Is GPS+GLONASS enabled on both?

My problem is exactly the same. Same firmware, same terrible Open water tracking. Few points and short distance. Makes no Sense paying expensive in a Triathlon watch with such problems. Almost selling mine and buying Polar Vantage V2. Far better Open…

Simple, start an activity Slight smile I do not understand why should it pose a problem for even a short distance. If you do not wish to keep the activity in your records, simply do not save it at the end, and discard it instead.

I ocasionally like to check that I am keeping in a humble 7th or so decile on the hillclimb segments. Is there a way of filetering out all the silly segments of short duration/distance?
