  • RE: InReach Tracking—Straight Lines in Explore

    Mr.Jed
    Mr.Jed

So I have just used my InReach connected to my iPhone and connected to the Explore App while driving a short distance and when I open Explore on the web it shows the actual route, not lines and dots.

  • RE: Differences in GPX track length possible when importing into Connect ?

For me the GPS distance is always more close to the truth but the distance is always slightly to short anyways. When comparing the measurements with odometer. Maybe we should create a separate thread about that.

Good question, my driver distances are very short by 30-50 yards. I am thinking its due to a low loft driver (6 degree) but who knows. I’ll try raising mine really high and see in tomorrows sim session

    Hi Mike,

Not to be a thread hijacker, but can you help me out too?

Forerunner 610, firmwave 2.90, short distance runs are uploading but a 10k run I did on Sunday doesn't want to move across.

    Thanks!

I've seen many of these posts about distance--and they all seem to be from indoor users. I've never used my R50 indoors, only outdoors on the range. I can attest that the R50 distance measurements on my outdoor range shots are accurate. It may be something…

How long were the laps? Is it possible they were too short for the watch to discern a distance.

It would be nice to be able to set longer distances for custom. I have a beach swim that is 135 mtr between points. I would like to be able to use the pool setting rather than the GPS, because I know the distance. On such a short distance going back and…

It will be detected if you have set it to autodetect in settings. Best way to detect your max HR is to do a field test. Mostly VO²max is overestimated if you run too short distances - about 2-3km only.

All right Kevin, at 5 and 23 minutes I passed under the trees and the pace jumps, after the second drink I walked short distances because I am still recovering from an operation on my leg. Thank you for your time.

  • Backlight won't turn on during Running profile

Hi everyone. I have my backlight set to 'during activity' and 30% but it won't turn on when I tilt and look at my watch while running. My short distance eyesight is not great and I really need this. Any tips?
