I called support and they had me completely uninstall Garmin Express, reboot, and re-install. This fixed the problem for me. It may fix your issue as well.
Since 17.73 on my 6X PRO ive had issues with pairing, i pair it , it transfers the activity etc, but maybe a day or less later , it wants to pair again on its own.
It never happened with previous firmware verions.
