I have been using the Garmin Vivoactive 3 for last 20 days. I have noticed that while walking the pace reading stops intermittently. Upon jerking the hand it starts again from a very high number. This I have noticed for the last two days.
I noticed that the connector on the warch end is quite loose and 'looses' usb connection on occasion.
Not sure if a replacement cable would fix this
