Lights are from Lezyne, Radar and wired battery from Garmin (and with USB-C

I discovered that on my first workout and then realized that I don't have to start an activity on the watch. Everything gets uploaded through Zwift and makes it into Garmin Connect. I broadcast my heartrate from the watch to the apple tv and zwift…

Thanks for that, it was the network. I swapped to an iPhone hotspot and it worked after a few resets of the watch ( it didn't see the iPhone signal straight away), anyway all sorted now. Thanks for the advice!
