Thanks for the advice, seems to have worked :)
i was able to resolve it. it had to do with which devices are installed. after installing devices from the manifest file, and a restart, iwas able to launch the apps.

I suspected it was not 2T innards after a few uses as it's noticeably nosier than my other 2T and has a significant vibration at 40-60 rpm.

The trouble is I’ve still arrived some place and realised there’s a problem. From my phone, I’ve resent the same course or exported it to a GPX and added it to Garmin Explore. A bit tricky but it works.
