If you are still experiencing inaccurate GPS and poor current pace - contact technical support and the seller - they should be able to refund your permissions.

Behaving reasonably on a treadmill would tend to corroborate Former Member’s hypothesis. When you set up a footpod the default behavior is to use the footpod pace and distance only for indoor runs and GPS for outdoor. Having current pace jump all around…

You have the choice for both speed and distance in the settings. I have mine set to use the foot pod always for speed but only indoors for distance. So my current pace is from the foot pod. It's only for current pace though. All other pace fields…

Yes current pace only. Lap (or effectively average pace in the current km/mile) pace is nearly always very good in my experience.

When I am doing efforts away from a track I often use a screen with current pace and lap pace. Comparing lap pace after with…

I noticed that current pace is off but also when I do custom workout where, for instance, speed is set to be between 11 hm/h and 13 km/h and current speed is showing 12.5 I tend to get alerts I am too fast.

On lap pace I made the observation below on the 630 forum which might be relevant here?

It is standard practice on all Forerunners for lap pace to be the same as current pace for the first 20 secs of a lap.

However, there seems to be an issue with current…

Is there a way to set a current pace alert in a workout that I download? I find that I'm able to set an alert which will notify me if my lap pace or average pace deviates from a certain range, but I'm unable to set an alert for current pace. Is there…

You mean in the watch while running?  I think it's a combination of the time data in the file, current pace and distance to destination.

I experience the same thing, recently switched from Suunto to Garmin fenix 6s pro and current pace was much more stable on my previous watch :(
