And also multi-band vs all systems vs auto select (SatIQ) GNSS settings might matter current pace responsiveness.

Forerunner 745. When Cantonese is selected, it will only prompt average pace even though current pace is selected.

I use them both. The foot pod will only give you current pace and it works very well. You have to go into the foot pod settings and tell it to use it for outdoor speed and then make sure you have the current pace set in one of your data screens.

    Current pace smoothness

Take a look at the attached graph. Both per second recording. Same run. One is current pace from my 945 with GPS + GLONASS (displayed as speed in kph here) and the other from a Stryd foot pod…

  • Display Pace from HRM-Run?

Is there something I can do to get the 5S to display current pace information from the HRM-Run? I see hints about it, but nothing solid. I had a terribly inaccurate run a while back, and generally don't use the current pace field because it's no good…

I guess if you do all your workouts on a track then current pace is fine but who does that? If you use a workout for a target race (like I do) then current pace is no much use. Maybe there are people who can keep constant pace on a hilly marathon route…

I have done many interval workouts with pace as target and it works fine.

I use a different data screen that includes current pace. You just need to remember the target pace which is displayed when starting each interval.

Yes, it would be preferable if…

I've not seen a way to achieve this. As far as I know, laps on the watch become laps on GC. You can set a data field on your run display to show current pace, and glance down at it periodically though. There should be options for current pace as well…

Just had my first run at the track. The current pace is good.

I guess it all depends on your GPS ?

    Hello Luca,

Is it possible to set the Current Pace with a custom time-smoothing (i.e.last 30 seconds)?

    Thanks a lot
