  • RE: 935 for a couch potato?

Yea, you don't need anything else with this watch. I do have a Garmin footpod that I've had for years and I use it to get a better current pace while running, but it's not necessary. If I didn't have it already I wouldn't buy one now. For some fun stats…

I have a 235 and for the most part like it. I haven't had any HR issues like others - it tracks right as I would expect based on my runs. But, there are a few things that annoy me that could be poor design, or, more likely, are actually just that I…

Hot phase on my marathon training Muscle

    Screenblackout:

Did two simple 30k trainings. The watch stops displaying anything after exact 20k. Both times!
The running app is black. Touching, scrolling, nothing will make the display work again.
    Except the autolap…

It looks like the discussion a) has been going on forever. I found this interesting thread there that includes a user survey and the involvement of a Garmin employee.

Survey for using instant vs step pace on the workout screen - Forerunner 945 - Running…

Another observation: The speed/pace was also completely off during the run.

First, it started way too high and in the middle of the run, it was lower than I would assume it would be. I always had the feeling of running faster than the displayed pace for…

I run the exact same route (Invalidenfriedhof --> Spreeufer) 2-3x a week. My tracks aren't better. I have to disagree about the Spreeufer being an open area. On one side you have the water (reflections) and on the other side a wall/building/trees on both…

I emailed TrainingPeaks support and here is their reply:

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable the pace alerts at this time. This is a limitation with Garmin devices and we do not have any control over this functionality…

Yes, I'm also not planning on giving them any watch sales in the near future, however, this is exactly what they are counting on, the fact that people will upgrade to the latest version based on this suppression of features. They want to push new products…

Better metrics, is Pod the solution?

    Hi!
I have a Fenix 5 and I'm thinking about upgrading it with a Pod for more running Metrics.
But I don't quite understand what Pod to go for...?

I'm looking at Garmin RD, Garmin Foot Pod or Stryd…
