G5000 How do I track an Airway or VOR radio out/in

Working on a G5000 and trying to practice intercepting a radio or airway out/inbound? I have reviewed the manual but still don't see a reference. Any help would be appreciated.

There's also this video on our YouTube channel that describes how to intercept an ILS which is similar to intercepting a Airway/VOR. The intercept begins around 09:30 in the video.

My approach is pretty simple: for VOR tracking, I manually tune the VOR on NAV1, identify it, then set the inbound or outbound course using the CRS knob while the CDI is set to VOR. The magenta guidance won’t appear unless it’s part of the flight plan, but the raw data works just fine. For airways, I don’t try to “intercept” them manually I always load the airway segment in the FMS. Once it’s active, LNAV will keep me centered without much extra work.
