How is “we know there is a problem, we’ll fix it in May” an acceptable solution for a $1,000+ watch that’s available for sale?

David mentioned his team is creating a firmware update, and it is slated to be released in May 2025, which will resolve this issue.
I recommend you contact Garmin Support so they know there is more than eight users experiencing this problem.
Today, 19-March-2025, I reset my Tactix 8 Applied Ballistics Elite; and, I also reset the Garmin Connect application on my iPhone; and, I will see if the skin temperature works after three sleep-nights.

Not working for me either
My 51mm AMOLED Standard doesn't show skin temperature either.

Our engineers are aware of a known issue that may prevent the watch from recording a Skin Temperature during Sleep. This is a software related issue. This is a good question. I have no idea for this long long way to fix.
I'm happy that there is a response from Garmin. This watch has been solid with only the skin temp not working for me. I'm willing to wait for a solid update that doesn't introduce new bugs.
I found the "Core (Body) Temperature" app on Connect IQ as an alternative while we are waiting for a fix. It gives a nightly temperature during sleep.
