Marq 2 Adventurer Rusting Components?

My Marq 2 Adventurer is titanium, but has a distinct protrusion near the back/stop button next to the screw for the back, and that protrusion is rusting.
I can’t pick it off with my finger nail and am hesitant to try a screw driver to pop it off. Is there any chance this is actually intended to be part of the watch?

Strange, there should not be hole there (https://www.garmin.com/nl-BE/p/783467/). I would contact Garmin directly.

Looks like surface debris. Try giving the spot a good rub with a Q-Tip soaked in IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) - should come off.

Thanks all for the extra validation that it is not a part of the watch case. The alcohol and q tip got it nice and shiny but no luck.

After destroying several plastic scraping tools I was able to pop it off with a rigid ballpoint pen.

It looks like a tiny weld splatter that managed to stick to the titanium. Problem solved and lesson learned!
