Garmin never reveals their plans before new product premiere. 

My personal opinion, NO GSM connectivity in the watch and if people want that should realize that battery time will land among other competitors. With current technology there is no option to have watch having long running time on one charge and build in cellular connectivity.

Not true. The Forerunner 945 LTE had much better battery life than any Apple or Google Watch. 

I suspect that the real barrier to Garmin making a watch is the monopolistic behaviour of local carriers, who control who can and can't use their networks. Vodafone for example, famously told Apple that nobody would want the internet on their phone but the real reason was that they made money on reselling other phones.   Apple were blocked like this initially and it was only the runaway success of the iPod that allowed them to overcome too-cosy arrangements with the incumbents to allow the iPhone. 

It's also a huge amount of work to make a device work globally where each carrier has subtly different technical implementations, even if they want to allow you onto their network. The 945 LTE was only available in certain countries for this reason. 

That said, I would love to be proved wrong by Garmin. A cellular watch or cycling computer in a Garmin design would be awesome.  It would allow me to leave my phone at home. (Just don't expect Google or Apple to allow that without a fight.)

Please remember that LTE in this model is only to do data transfer, you cannot send SMSs or call.
For such reason communication with mobile network is rather minimal and yes, you are limited to one provider.

To be honest, for me personally, such function in watch is not needed, when I go do my runs I even don't take my mobile, it is time for me and I can be detached from network for one or two hours. I even would say, I'd like to be detached during that time.

Then don't use it? Nobody forces you to use 4G. It is one of the most important features, I don't see why $2000+ watches shouldn't have it when almost every $200 smartwatch has cellular nowadays. And I assume that most people who ask for 4G don't want it for zoom calls or stuff like that, but mostly for potentially unforeseen events. For example when you are running but the weather suddenly shifts, so that you can call someone to pick you up. Or you get injured during and activity and need to call for help. Or if you just ran a marathon and need to find your friends. Or you just want live weather information on your watchface when you're outside. 

Please present one watch cost 200$ with GSM functionality. 
And to be cleare, all people asking this function think about talk over watch not alarm situation. 
And second, I would say OK it could be inside, I will not use it, but. Extra electronic cost, took place and make whole thing more complicated. 
I would prefer to left that space for biggest battery, less complicated design and cheaper device. 

And it is not problem of money, I had Fenix 3 Sapphire, next was Fenix 6X Sapphire, than Fenix 7X Sapphire and now I use Descent MK3i.

Please take a look at these watches I linked you above, none of them have a complicated design. They are actually much thinner than the garmin ones.

Thanks, but only for one work time on one charge was mentioned and it was 24 hours.
Thank you, I will stay with my Descent, 24 days and nor 4G.

Good for you. I'm glad you got it now that 4G is neither cost intensive nor leads to a complicated design. 

I think you don't get it comparing cheap toys with Garmin Fenix.
