Dear All, I switched to the MARQ (Gen2) Athlete from the Descent MK2i half a year ago. First impressions were positive. I use the watch for running and swimming (pool and open water). I want to understand whether I have a problem or a general situation for this watch.
Case 1: walk. Sometimes I notice that when moving, the number of steps on the default dial does not change. Sometimes it stops on its own after turning on the training mode, sometimes only after a reboot.
Case 2: swimming in the pool. On the Desent watch, I swam in the pool (alternating between breaststroke and different techniques) and the watch correctly showed the distance when initially indicating the length of the pool, but on the new watch, sometimes I even see that in an hour I swam 0 meters. This is very strange for a luxury model.
Case 3: open water swimming. Here, too, the situation is strange, sometimes the distance almost doubles, sometimes it decreases. I turned on the GPS maximum accuracy mode, but this doesn’t help much either. Moreover, it only draws on the map the entry and exit points, very rarely a straight line between them, despite the fact that my friends swimming with me, who, for example, have FORERUNNER 945, see the entire track, and not a straight line (see the screenshots). Maybe something with the settings, but I can't figure out what.
I really ask for advice. Thanks.
BR, Ivan
