I'm trying to understand the behaviour and differences between these settings.
I don't like my screen coming on every time I move my wrist, so I used to have the display set to off. I can still turn it on by touch or by operating the buttons.
What I have noticed is that with wrist gesture set to off (didn't see this option before) and the display left as on, I seem to get the exact same behaviour. That is, the screen won't turn on when I move my wrist. I can still turn it on by touch or by operating the buttons.
So what's the difference in practice?
NOTE: There is one caveat though. By. leaving the display set to On (and wrist gesture on or off) I no longer suffer from a bug that touch seems not to work unless I press some buttons first. This bug didn't go away for me after 17.23 update.
