I wonder if the Marq's battery (for instance) can be changed by Garmin after a few year of use as opposed to throw the watch away and buy a new one .

Garmin could certainly provide you with a watch with a new battery for a fee, but more than likely it would be a certified refurbished watch, not the same one you sent in for "repair."…

Battery replacement for Marq 2 is 600 eur/usd.
Garmin will replace the battery in the Gen1 for a few hundred dollars. I’ve not yet needed a new battery in the Gen1, but haven’t spoken to a jeweler or repair shop either.

The MARQ (Gen 2) series watches are being repaired. The customer receives their same exact watch back.
It is the only watch that we currently repair. All other outdoor watches are being recertified/rebuilt by our production teams.
Good to know. Thanks for the info.
I understand that the purpose of companies is to make money, but this and the similar cost for the original Marq battery seem to be a case of 'let's see just how much we can get away with'
Happy new year to all of you guys. This is actually a very informative reply. I will pull the trigger on the MARQ Commander soon.

Does this service extend to the fenix Chronos?
To this day, the Chronos is still my favorite bezel and stainless steel band. When we had enough incoming Fenix Chronos watches, our production teams rebuilt them and it was a one-for-one exchange of the watch.
The Chronos was a 'high end' Fenix 3 series watch so it has been quite some time since they could be exchanged through Product Support.

Agreed. I love the clean bezel and is a bit subdued over the latest metal MARQ2. It just looks great.
