MARQ Gen 2 Adventurer - Move IQ is not detecting my workouts

I just started to use my new MARQ Adventurer Gen 2 for around 1 week until date, moving from my earlier watch (Samsung Galaxy).

Wearing the watch al the time to get the experience and test functionalities, found that my workouts (walking) is not getting auto recognized by the watch, I have to start it manually all the times.

Enabled the Move IQ option, but still.

Read somewhere that the Move IQ would recognize the movement after 10 minutes of steady movement; however, yesterday made 2 walking activities, each for 30 minutes with no record, the watch is only recording number of steps but not making them as a workout.

Actually, my mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy Fold 5) detected that I'm doing a workout while the watch didn't.

Please advise if anything could be adjusted to get this corrected.

MoveIQ is not working that way, it will only mark your walk on your time line.
If you want to have activity monitored and recorded as activity you need to start it manually.

Hi Adam,
Comparing to other fitness smartwatches, this should not be the case; also, according to the Move IQ function description, it should record the activity if continued for more than 10 minutes, which is not happening

On the other hand, I found another option on other Garmin smartwatches, which is the "Activity Auto Start"; unfortunately, this functionality is not available for MARQ watches, so, what to be done to have that function available for my watch?

Any advise?

Yes, some other models like Venu had such functionality but MARQ or Fenix don't, and it was always like that.
Did you read Marq manual or product description on Garmin web page before you bought it?

Making assumption is not a good way when you decide about shopping.

You need to ask Garmin, but for Fenix line it was always like that, as Marq is based on the same HW platform and software I would say, NO.
