Weather not updating

I've bitten the bullet and reset the Marq and deleted the app (having also deleted the BT connection, soft reset the iPhone and removed the Marq from Garmin Connect. Still, I'd like to hear if others have had the same experience.

Nope. Despite a full wipe and reset the Marq still lost the weather update. App close and reopen updates.

Could be for example a problem of permissions on your phone. The Location Permissions for Garmin Connect have to be set to "always". Could be also a case where there is no weather data station available nearby, so the data is read from a more distant location (those are typically airports). You can try setting the weather location to a fixed value. Thanks. The permissions were correct and set to 'always'. The nearest weather location is not too far away. The intriguing thing is that  it's correct most of the time but drops out randomly and defaults to another location (or at least a different and wrong reading) and only corrects itself almost immediately when I close and reopen the Garmin app. And the factory reset and reinstallation didn't help. If only Garmin would allow Openweather.

They do allow OpenWeather - simply install the Open Weather Widget | Garmin Connect IQ

Thanks. I didn’t realise. OW downloaded and installed. That should fix the problem. 

The Marq has been behaving itself for the last two days and updating the weather. I can only assume that there was some outage at the nearest weather station.
