Marq (Gen 2) Athlete strap vs. Epix 2 strap

I have currently the Epix 2 black sapphire version, but really like the more premium material and looks of the new Marq 2 Athlete. 

Does anyone have comparison between the silicone strap and between these two? DC Rainmaker was stating that the Marq 2 Athlete strap is stiffer. 

Also, the way the strap bends down from the watch is a bit different. 

Any feedback welcome!

    The Marq straps for flush to the watch body giving a more fluid transition from the watch to the strap. It really is a much more premium fitting as opposed to the other watches that are just flat. The curve of the Marq strap follows the curve of the watch. The straps for the other 22mm watches will fit the Marq but not vice versa.

    I already put my comments on DC Rainmaker - but I'd echo exactly what philipshambrook says, and add that the MARQ strap makes the watch sit and look much better on slimmer wrists. I've even put my original MARQ strap on my EPIX for that same reason, though it did take a bit of work with a Dremel on the strap to get it to fit.

    I actually returned the Epix 2 because the watch was simply uncomfortable to wear compared to my original Marq.  The curved ends of the strap make a big difference in comfort if you have smaller wrists on a heavier/thicker watch.  I tried to put the original Marq strap on the Epix but it didnt fit.  I should have thought of using a dremel!

     - What Philip has given is accurate. Also, I have tested our MARQ bands with other QuickFit 22 models such as the Epix 2/Fenix 7 and the MARQ bands do not fit other Outdoor watches.

    Does Garmin sell straps specific for the Marq 2 with the bend /flush to the watch body? When I look I only find straps that fit all the watches.

    Like to get they nylon one if possible.

    At that same link you will find Nylon straps that were designed to go with the MARQ series of watches - i.e. they are expensive, but not exclusive to the MARQ series.

    There are no Nylon straps with the MARQ specific attachment hardware and the flush to the case curve.
