Just got an email from Garmin that despite ordering the Marq 2 Athlete on release day it’s been pushed back until December.

Received mine and took it for a little test drive
I spoke at length with a CSR. They had very little stock at launch. He was able to look at my order and the stock due to arrive from Taiwan for shipping on 12/15 and said I fit within that. But he also agreed that Garmin released the product to early given their supply constraints, they were bound to have lots of people waiting and unhappy. He’s heard nothing but complaints and sympathizes with them. BTW, in some cases delivery dates changed from days to weeks in minutes.
My guess is that they wanted to maximize holiday sales - those that ship 12/15 can make th holiday, so they froze purchase decisions up front. Even so, someone buying something like this - a totally unnecessary gadget - wants it NOW. Hence my upset and thst of many others. Bad judgement from the POV of relations with some of your most eager fanboys.
I can believe that. The 15th was a date I was told is possible for restocking. Maybe some of us get their watches by Xmas?
Ordered my Marq Athlete Gen2 last week (Friday 18 November) online from a German shop. The watch was delivered at my home address in Belgium this week on Wednesday (23 November), much sooner than I'd expected. Very happy with it, huge update from the former Athlete.
Congratulations. I wonder if ordering from a store would have gotten me the watch faster? Or is the problem the Aviator is in high demand?
Look what arrived. So busy I just took this photo.
My credit card was charged this morning. Hopefully it ships today. Ordered an Adventurer October 20th in the USA.
So unfortunately I’ve had a traumatic experience and will be sending my Gen 2 Adventurer back today. That said, and before I do. I wanted to post here in the event anyone has an order that was delayed and would like sooner than later.
it’s brand new, still in the box. I’m not looking to make any profit, but will not take a dollar less than MSRP. I can ship either back to Garmin today or to an interested party.
What makes the experience traumatic?
I'm guessing he might mean something personal, rather than anything to do with the watch
