What's the difference in capability between MARQ Aviator G2 and D2 Mach 1?

I currently have a D2 Mach 1 on order, but it's on backorder for a few weeks. Now that the MARQ Aviator G2 is released it's caught my attention.
Is there any capability difference between the two? I'm having a hard time finding a difference beside looks.

Both watches are using the same software platform and contain the AMOLED display but there are hardware aesthetic differences that may be important to you. The bands are 100% different too and the USB-C/magnetic charging cable for the MARQ 2 Aviator. There is also a ceramic cover on top of the titanium bezel on the MARQ Aviator.

Another example, the bezel body of the MARQ Gen 2 is one solid piece of titanium and is Grade 5 higher end titanium. Visually compare both the watches in their pictures and focus on the Epix 2 lugs as one main example to see the lug is attached to the bezel body and is not one piece of titanium. When side-by-side and each watch handled, you will immediately see the difference of a MARQ compared to all of our other Outdoor segment watches.

You can do a side by side comparison on Garmins website.

Screen size, pixel density and battery life are different, and the Aviator is more than twice the price.

Think you are better off with the D2 Mach 1.

Is it really that difficult to go to the Garmin web site? OK, click here: QuickFit 22 Watch Straps (MARQ) then scroll down and click on "Compatible Devices"

If it's too hard to click and scroll, then this is what you would find:

TL;DR: Yes. All MARQ straps and bracelets will fit the Marq (Gen 2).
