I bought a watch a few days ago and and since yesterday the watch has stopped responding to buttons. It does not respond to any buttons, with the exception of CTRL-button (20 seconds and it turns off, after turning on it freezes again after a while and the backlight function begins to work) and long press of the ABC (the compass opens, the watch comes to life, all buttons respond, but after a few minutes the watch stops responding to buttons again). At the time of purchase, the watch had old software (I did not remember, maybe "10"), it seems yesterday it was updated to "12.10 778b98f" and constant freezes began. So far, it looks like a problem with the software because ABC-button revives it for a while.
At first it seemed to me that I had the same problem -
forums.garmin.com/.../instinct-solar-freezes. But I see no problems updating information on screen.
Can someone suggest if there is a need to return the watch to the store, or can a service center help? Or wait for the software update? Or try to roll back the firmware version?
Any help would be appreciated.
