Crash during swimming pool activity on pressing rest button manually

Hi everyone,

the same issue as for mountain climbing activity with navigation my watch crashed today in a swimming pool while I pressed the rest button.

I had the same issue last week while swimming but I thought it was due to upgrade to FW 11.00 because activity restored after crash.

Today unfortunately my activity stopped and saved and I needed to stat it again.

Does anyone have same issues while swimming?

With the version 12.20 it happen more often. I want my refund for this, Garmin.

Mine doesn’t work either, or should I say sometimes it does and sometimes not, I can’t rely on it to work. The swim activity is recorded in history, but when I go to save the swim after completing it it won’t go to save. Sometimes it won’t count laps after 350 to 500 meters. It is definitely a faulty product in software. I have exchanged watches and still the same problem

Same issue. I returned my Instinct because of this issue. They sent me another and it is doing the same.

This Issue, continues with crash at end of swim when I push to stop. I see a square icon, that when working goes to “save” or “resume”, but unfortunately does to a triangle and the data is lost. I called Garmin again and they promised an online fix soon. We will see. I haven’t returned the watch, I am hoping against hope they will build a fix soon.

The issue should be resolved with the v13.20 software update.

Hi, I have 13.20 and had crash today during swimming :(

I had yesterday a swimming session with 13.20 and watch worked perfectly

Another swimming today but without crash. So 1:1 :)

But few minutes after end of swimming my Instinct frozen on watch screen.

NO ,I also have 13.20 but crashed all the time when around 300m.

Unfortunately I had the same with my instinct solar surf edition - garmin replaced the device and I tried it today and crashed again within 10 lengths - I'll be calling them again in the morning - will have to revert to my trusty fenix 3 to record. Not good
