[6.29 Instinct 3 Solar] The latest software does not fit on your device's inter memory

Garmin Express displays the following error trying to install the 6.29 on my Instinct 3 Solar:

"The latest software does not fit on your device's inter memory"

Agreed, the constant issues I have had are enough to make me consider returning the watch. This level of incompetence is unforgivable for a company their size and for a watch that costs nearly 500 dollars…

It is the other way - MacOS does not support MTP drives natively. You have to install MTP support such as for example the OpenMTP

That was already the case at older devices, but Garmin migrated from the Mass USB storage mode for good reasons - safety, speed, and better prevention from accidental data corruption.
