Hello
Unfortunately the solution was sending back the unit to seller (and authorized distributor) and I got a full refund.
Then I bought another unit (instinct 2 solar) and it's fine, no issue at all.
you know how ridiculous it is to have to do this after every time the watch battery fails. this is unheard of in all wearables. shame on Garmin for charging so much but offering crap apps that do not do as the watches claim. really disappointing to have to manually add activities - so much for joining challnges
like everyone else in this chat, i too have an instinct 2s that will connect but not pair/sync with an iPhone after the battery loses charge. i did everything that was suggested here multiple times. this is my last Garmin.
100% agree with you. and accidentally reported the post abusive, sorry.

It really is recommended to only have the watch paired to a single mobile device at a time. So since this started, have you tried removing the watch pairing from other cellphones and tablets, and even disabling their Bluetooth before trying the pairing with the iPad?
If this is still not connecting to the iPad only, please feel free to reach out to me via Private Message.
This is really frustrating. I have install Garmin connect into my iPad generation 10, I have deleted Garmin connect on my android phone. currently I only have Garmin connect installed in the iPad. I still have intermittent successful sync activities, I am able to connect my Bluetooth between my iPad and my instinct 2, but the sync arrow keep on rotating without actually syncing. The only solution I found was to remove device and add on device every time.. And then, after a few days, the problem appeared again.
My Instinct 2 Solar worked great until it did not. Now it drops off the connection to my phone at a whim. Won't turn on, won't turn off, keeps time on schedule that does not appear to relate to our calendar or the path of the sun. When I try and re-pair it my phone can't find the device and if I go into the phone's programming I would have a better chance of winning Powerball than I do of finding the pairing mode that works (yes I know, go to Settings >Phone> Paring) which would work great, oh except for the part where the options within Phone are shaded and can't be accessed.
I contacted Garmin and was told that this was a software issue and the watch could not be updated. I don't want the $100 credit offered. I think that Garmin owes me a new watch gratis.
