Heat Acclimation working principle

Hello,

I just ran 5k in 31°C, but my heat acclimation is still trending down.

What are the principles under the hood?

Am I supposed to reach some level of performance (compared to myself)?

Or it is not working at all because of some bug?

Thanks in advance.

  • I really wish Garmin made better use of their own Tempe sensors, especially for things like this. Yes, they might not always be 100% accurate if people position them badly (such as in direct sunlight), but that's down to the user to manage properly if they want to use heat acclimation. It would still be much better than Garmin's very vague weather data, and would also allow for micro-climates, such as exercising in a gym or garage where the temperature might bear no relationship to the outdoors.
