Difference on actual product vs ad images

Why there is minute numbers around inside bezel on product pictures, but there aren't any on an actual product? That blank black space doesn't looks nice with a slimmer silver outside bezel. Display looks smaller that way and it just doesn't feel right. I rather see more rugged outside bezel, than unused space with already small display.

  • guy, there is a problem with your watch, all models include the minutes graduation around the screen !

Are you sure? Maybe on the F8 series but since the FE appears to largely be based on the F7/Epix hardware that would explain why the numbers are not there in reality. Sadly, marketing images are not always indicative of reality.

  • Good point. If somebody has a good eye and big display around he can check it, because the reviewer has a FE on his wrist: m.youtube.com/watch

You are right! There are no markings.

  • for me it looks ugly witht this large black blank space

  • Hello,

I am sorry to hear you are seeing a problem with this. I would like to contact our engineers to confirm if the number were supposed to appear as in the image. So I will reach out to collect some specifics, to get this reported.

Hi Garmin-Laurie. I think we know by now that the fenix E is shipped WITHOUT markings. You can see it in the Garmin training video on Youtube. (See screenhot above).

The real problem is that such incorrect product information is not an isolated case, and Garmin obviously does not take enough care in this regard.

It happens VERY OFTEN that the Garmin website has incorrect text for a product image. Or vice versa.
This was also the case with the fenix 6 series.

The most recent examples of incorrect product information are :

    1) fenix 8 Titan (light) was obviously advertised worldwide as a DLC model. After the initial confusion of some interested parties, the websites were changed.

Here is a screenshot of the same watch a few days apart:

These screenshots show the UK store, but were WRONG at least in many countries (if not worldwide).
The light-colored model has no DLC.

What's more, even the boxes are incorrectly labeled.

    2) There is still the question of whether the Enduro 3 is DLC coated! Is it, or is it not ?
On some Garmin pages it says that it is. On others not.
Research has shown that it is obviously not.

But here too it says "DLC" on the box

    …“

I rang Garmin Support (Australia) and after some further investigation they acknowledge that it is a typo on the Site, and the box.“…

    see :

Last but not least, the wrong product image of the fenix E.

    Is there no control ?

What will Garmin do in future so that customers can be SURE that the appearance of a product offered corresponds to the image on the website, as well as the material properties?

I have been using Garmin watches since 2016 and can assure you that these errors on the part of Garmin are not uncommon.

I've gotten into the habit of taking a screenshot of my purchases in the Garmin Store for good reason. If it needs to be clarified afterwards, I can prove WHAT I actually bought.

I hope that Garmin can satisfy the customer, because Jon Hosler ( Global Lead Product Manager Garmin ) said the following at minute 15:08 during the presentation of the new fenix series:

"Trust is hard to earn, but easy to lose"

    Spot on!

  • Hello, I can confirm that all Fenix E should have the artwork around the bezel showing Garmin and the numbers. If you have purchased a Fenix E and you are not seeing the numbers and logo around the display as shown on the website, please reach out to me Via private message. This will allow us to resolve this, and to look into how this occurred.
