It seems like the same watch, with a little bit of difference in the styling and UI, and a little bigger screen. Am I missing something?

The Fenix E will include the Newly updated Interface, Updated watch face customization, New Count down timer, New Advanced strength training features, and New Dynamic round trip routing,
The name. That's it.
Is there a new cpu and/or gpu chip that's needed (under the hood in the Fenix E) to run this new interface? In not then WHY would you not bring it to as many devices as possible? Two reasons, it keeps…
Same for me...maybe would be more interesting to have the "Strength coach" but it is what it is and i can stay without it like i did until now.
Still not comparable to additions like the multiband or the change from mip to amoled.
There is nothing to suggest the hardware cpu/gpu and most of the internals are ANY different than the Fenix 7 Pro. In fact some reviewers said the new UI is sluggish. Also no one said the code was completely different, just that the UI was revamped...this likely has only a little to do with the base code for the OS. In fact, there is plenty to suggest that the Fenix E is just a rebranded Epix 2 Standard, Gen 4 WHR monitor and all.
Strength Coach was basically taken from the Venu 3 I believe, shocking they didn't port this to watches twice the price in the Fenix 7 Pro and Epix 2 Pro. In fact, I would not be at all surprised to find out that the code base they used for this "new" version of software was that of the Venu 3, and they ported over all the Fenix, Descent, and Forerunner, Swim 2, etc.. specific features. The fact they don't want to expand this code base to other models even a year old is not a good sign for the platform. For niche ultra athletes sure, but for the smartwatch platform, bad sign.

Sooo do you want the new UI everywhere or not
The current UI is also sluggish compared to smartwatches...I'm saying, it pretty much tells us they are using the same cpu/gpu...I'd rather have a good 5-6 days of battery life than a snappier UI.
.I'm saying, it pretty much tells us they are using the same cpu/gpu.
Yeah I understood that. I also understood the implication that the new UI is more sluggish than the old UI, which makes it funny that you'd presume everyone would automatically want it ("it keeps customers happy")
Just bc the current UI is more sluggish than smartwatches doesn't mean ppl would be ok with an even more sluggish UI
When did I imply the new UI is more sluggish, I said the reviews said it was also sluggish, like every Garmin watch before it at certain things.

Fair, I read too much into what you said
Nicht nur der Name, das Gehäuse, die Tasten, keine Tauchfunktion, etc.
The difference is the number of threads and posts about them one week after their respective announcement dates. :-)
