Fenix 8 as a Dive Computer

I have an Epix 2 now and just ordered a MK3i but now I am thinking the Fenix 8 or hopefully soon 8 pro would be a better fit for the 6 or 10 times a year I go on a recreational dive trip. Has anyone been using the dive features of the Fenix 8 and is it reliable?

I moved from epix2 to fenix 8 this week because also of diving. Because i did not want to buy an extra dive computer. But you have to wait 3 weeks until my experience, then i will be in egypt diving

After 40 dives with Fenix 8 I can recommend it as a backup computer

What a weird thing to say. The Apple watch has consistently trailed behind since it was introduced and has yet to come close to a Fenix in functionality.

Perhaps this year Apple will beat a one day battery life, or allow activity export/sync with third parties. Maybe they’ll add native dive functionality or a flashlight. Probably they’ll change the strap colours though and their watch will be the same as always.
