Daily Summary not showing anymore – Fenix 8 (firmware 15.33)

Hi everyone,

I'm using a Fenix 8 running firmware 15.33, and for some time now, I’ve stopped receiving the Daily Summary at the end of the day — even though it used to work perfectly before.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

  • Confirmed that the Daily Summary feature is enabled

  • Disabled/re-enabled the setting

  • Restarted the watch

  • Checked wake time and Morning Report settings

  • Watch is fully up to date

Despite all of that, the Daily Summary just never shows up anymore in the evening.

Is this a known issue?

    Hi,

    Have you checked the schedule of Sleep Mode?

    I had the same problem, it turned out that for some unknown reason, Sleep Mode has re-set itself to be active between 3:00 and 3:01 at night.

    Daily Summary seems to be related to that (it pops up certain, fixed amount of time prior to the start of Sleep Mode).

    Correct , from time to time it doesn't give the summary anymore. I think it has something todo with the activity you are doing at that moment. Maybe MoveIq thinks you are doing something and then it don't show the summary ?

    I’ve checked my Sleep Mode schedule and it’s set correctly, no strange times like 3:00–3:01.

    Also, at the time when the Daily Summary should appear, I’m usually just relaxing at home, and there’s no MoveIQ activity detected.

    So unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be caused by either of those.

    Same here .. no daily summary.

    also on 15.33

    The daily summary isn't in the user guide ....  how did we get it anyway?

    Try turn on smartnotificaions from phone. When i turn on calls i get daily summery and when my watch and phones looses connection. If if have smartnotifications of i get nothing of that

    Yes, Now I did get the notifications ! Strange setting to get it ....

    I think it is a bug. My fenix did not behave like this but my enduro 3 does

    anyone else tries the settings mentioned?  Now i get random a daily summary, but not everyday ....

    Daily Summary? or Morning Summary?

    Daily Summary is something from the Betas (17.xx) and should eventually come to the rest of us when 17.xx gets released outside Beta.

    Morning Summary is part of the stable build and has existed from the very first 13.xx build that shipped with the watch. I do have issues with Morning summary, but it stems from how I have my sleep times (2:00 to 2:01, yes, I am a shift worker and HATE that I can not just disable sleep times). I manually set sleep when I go to bed and when I am working midnight shifts, I manually end sleep when I get up. When I work daylights, sleep auto ends at 2:01. I normally get up around 2:05 so I can get in endurance cardio before going to work, so that's not usually an issue. On days I might sleep past this is when the issue happens. The morning report is sitting waiting for me at 2:01, if I stir enough, the raise wrist to turn on can wake the watch, then the morning report can auto scroll to the end and go back to the normal watch face. When I wake up, no morning report :(

    So maybe disable the wrist motion shortcut? Set the end sleep to after you normally wake?
