Fenix 8 51 mm Amoled - The seconds recorded during the activity are incorrect

During my workout, I noticed that the seconds don’t pass consistently. Every other second runs differently or they count every two seconds. Yes, I have tried restarting the watch, but this problem should never, ever occur.

Could you please explain why this happens? After all, this is the main reason we wear watches — to show the time accurately. These are my first Garmin watches, which are supposed to represent the company’s top technological development. But sometimes it feels like a joke. The worst part is that I can no longer rely on the watch.

• In the mountains, they don’t show the correct altitude.

• Once, the battery drained in 6 hours even though the watch showed 2 days of battery life remaining.

• On another occasion, the battery life indicator mysteriously shortened by about 5 days on the display.

• During a mountain hike, the watch reset itself and then showed the GPS location completely off.

• When testing the diving mode, the brightness kept decreasing even though I tried different settings. I don’t know how I would manage this at a real depth.

• When turning on the LED lamp, there is a 1–2 second delay.

I can’t imagine diving with these watches and relying on them to work properly. Overall, I do like the watch; I switched to Garmin from Apple and hope these issues get fixed. Otherwise, it’s a huge disappointment, almost enough to make me cry. If these problems aren’t resolved, I’ll have to return the watch for a refund and switch back to Apple.

In this thread, I would like to focus on the issue of correct second counting during activities - 15.33 version. (Next time, I will maybe create the threads separately.)

It sounds as if you are using a watchface that was downloaded from the AppStore. If this is the case, use a build in stock watchface…

I have same problem with seconds in strength activity. Also beeps 5 seconds before end of rest are lagged.

It sounds as if you are using a watchface that was downloaded from the AppStore. If this is the case, use a build in stock watchface and test whether the problem is then resolved.

I use the built-in watchface and the video is from the default activity strength.

The 2-day battery life remaining shown is for smart watch mode; the battery life for exercise mode eventually shorter as it requires more power.

What's your GPS Settings? UltraTrac or AutoSelect (using Satiq technology?). Try to set to GPS only and see if it works?

I am aware of that. After the hike, I turned off the activity; I used to use it regularly (I saw 2 days remaining), and this really disappointed me.

If this is a response to the altimeter, I have tried various modes and calibration. I do not want to open this thread completely here, I will probably have to visit a store somewhere to check the sensor, because it is unacceptable for new watches to do this.
