What would you recommend?
Which firmware is more stable and has fewer bugs?
I'm still unsure whether I should switch to 15.31.

Added featureds are nice, fixed bugs are good, but new bugs are brought as well with the changes in the code(it's the normal and somewhat inevitable process which can only be minimized).
The watch…
I'm with you. I'm holding tight on 13.35. it has its issues, but I don't want a watch that is sluggish. I saw taht with my Fenix 8 out of the box (FW10) and was ready to return it until FW13 brought it…
15.31...
Why would you recommend 15.31? You read a lot of bad things about it (laggy Interface).
You read a lot of bad things about nearly every version…
I don’t have any problems with 15.31 so far. But other people, with other settings and usecases may have problems.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I'm familiar with the list of firmware changes.
However, that doesn't help me if the watch becomes unusable for other reasons afterwards, or difficult to operate.
I'm with you. I'm holding tight on 13.35. it has its issues, but I don't want a watch that is sluggish. I saw taht with my Fenix 8 out of the box (FW10) and was ready to return it until FW13 brought it up to an acceptable speed. (I bought mine a couple months ago)
I'm hoping they figure this lag out and also bring back the battery saver mode for the sleep focus. those are two things keeping me from upgrading.
Added featureds are nice, fixed bugs are good, but new bugs are brought as well with the changes in the code(it's the normal and somewhat inevitable process which can only be minimized).
The watch is still useable, and the bugs I'm facing with are mostly non-resolved and were present in version 13...
What I really dislike about 15.31 and would advise anyone who care about this feature to hold off from the upgrade and actually say to Garmin that they want the feature back is ability for watch to turn off automatically connectivity during sleep to conserve the battery and stop the watch from trying to find your mobile. Not sure if many others put the mobile offline at night but I do. This was a unique feature at the time for Garmin watches but suddenly they decided to make it go...
You can read more about this in here: https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/fenix-8-series/fenix-8-family-enduro-3-fenix-e---public-beta-reports/i/public-beta-15-xx/downgrade-battery-saver-turn-on-off-option-removed-from-sleep-score-sleep-coach-settings-page
But generally unless you care about some specific feature which was listed or bug, and actually have doubts, then I'd recommend to wait for another iteration, in my opinion this particular version could be skipped without much remorse.
ah, and one more thing, in the past issues with Race Calendar was very minor for me, at the moment they suddenly huge and reset to factory settings didn't help. So if you care for this functionality, don't hurry until fix is found.
Very well said!
I’ve made my decision and will stick with FW 13.35. I don’t currently need the new features.
I have no prior experience with Garmin—this is my first watch. I hope the update will eventually come, once everything is working properly. How was it with previous models? After each release, were there always lots of bugs at first, and eventually things got better?
It’s really taking the joy out of the watch for me. I’ve already spent so many hours with support, made pictures, videos, and documentation—all in the hope of helping improve the product. Sure, maybe others are doing the same, and I could just sit back and wait.
In general, I’ve found support to be friendly and helpful. My experience hasn’t been as bad as what you often read in the forums. I just think the U.S. support is much better than in Europe.
What worries me is that so many issues have been communicated for a long time, but nothing seems to change. It feels like they’re not listening—or they just don’t care. It would really frustrate me if all my efforts end up in the trash and never reach the technical team.
I’ve often thought about sending the watch back, but I never did—because I still have hope.
